TAKE A Inc. ("we", "us") provides the English shadowing app "Shadowly" (the "App"). This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
How we collect it: the anonymous account identifier is issued automatically on first launch. Audio is captured from your device microphone only while you are recording after tapping the record button; the App never records in the background. Learning data, input text, and your level, goal and display language come from what you enter, select and practice inside the App. Usage data is recorded automatically as screens are shown and actions occur. We do not buy or obtain your data from third parties.
We send the minimum necessary data to the following services for the purposes above:
Your recordings and input text are never used for third-party advertising, and these providers do not use our data to train their own generative AI models. We use these services only as needed for the purposes described above, and we send data only to providers that we have confirmed provide the same or an equal level of personal data protection as we do.
Consent before sending: we send data to OpenAI and Microsoft Azure only after the App has shown you what is sent, who it is sent to and why, and you have explicitly agreed. If you decline, nothing is sent to them and AI feedback and AI material creation stay switched off. You can withdraw your consent at any time in Settings > AI and data sharing.
Learning data and audio data are retained for as long as needed to provide the service.
Delete from inside the App: Settings > Delete account removes your account and all related data, including your recordings, learning history and generated materials. Deletion cannot be undone. You can also contact us at the address below and we will do the same.
We do not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law.
